Chef Patrice Gerard’s cuisine has decidedly European roots. He was born in Paris, educated in Switzerland and spent time in Burgundy on the family farm, so French cuisine is the basis for a more exotic “whole world” culinary attitude, but this September, it’s the food of our New England forbearers that he’ll bring to the table in two culinary conferences and classes on beautiful Star Island. On Sept. 13-15, you can join him for Cooking up History, and then stay for the next two day class, Cooking up Comfort on Sept. 15-17. Either, or both, will be a creative culinary experience and an opportunity to learn from a master with a big interest in food anthropology.
