Chef Patrice Gerard – owner of YourprivateChef.org- was born in Paris, France, and spent his youth on the small family farm in the village of Perreux in the Burgundy region. He learned to cook at his grandmother’s side with whatever was available from the garden and the neighboring farms. His fondest memories are of sharing the communal table with family and friends. In the early seventies, Patrice came to the U.S. and began working in restaurants while still in high school. He worked his way upward in the kitchen and across the country in restaurants from Los Angeles and San Diego to Las Vegas and Miami. In 1993 Patrice returned to Paris, France to formally study culinary arts.
Returning with culinary arts degrees from the French government and the European Community, Patrice began his career as an accredited chef. Over the years, he has developed a love of cultural cuisines from around the globe. “Whole world cuisine” is how he describes his culinary combination of classic French bases and ethnic flavors. Chef Patrice has garnered many accolades and recognition from food writers and food publications as he shares his love of cooking with friends and patrons.
Chef Patrice is a member of the American Culinary Federation and is a Certified Personal Executive Chef, a degree of distinction among his peers for knowledge and skill in his profession.
